Introduction

Relations are classified into several parts on the basis of the relation that is between the elements in the ordered pair. It is classified into 6 parts Empty, Universal, reflexive, Symmetric, Transitive and Equivalence relation. Among all these relations Equivalence relation is most important, as it is combinations of reflexive, symmetric and transitive relation.

Pre-Requisites:

Sets, their representation and its types, Cartesian products and relations.

Activity:

Write 6 set of numbers each satisfying particular type of relation and plot them on the graph sheet.
