Viviparous Young ones grow inside mother's womb. Eggs of viviparous animals lacks a hard shell covering. Fetus is connected to mother's body with placenta. Example – Humans, dogs, cats and most mammals.
Oviparous Young ones grow and develop outside moter's body. Eggs are covered with a hard shell to protect it from any environmental damage. Requires a medium(usually water) for the sperms to move towards the ova and fertilize. Examples – frogs and fishes.
