Sub Topic Name : Archimedes' Principle
Introduction

The amount of fluid displaced when an object is immersed in it.

Pre-Requisites:

Activity:

Attach a weight to hanging weighing balance. Fill a displacement can with water (till mark). Immerse the weight. You will observe a loss in the weight which is equal to the weight of the water displaced.

Real Life Question:

Think about what happens when you enter a bathtub/pool. Do you think the amount of water is equal to your weight?
